When You Don’t Know What Lifts You Anymore

Sometimes, life just hits differently. One moment you’re getting through the days, doing what you have to do, and then out of nowhere, it all feels a bit flat. Like you’ve lost your sense of self. Like you’re just going through the motions — a mum, a partner, a woman who’s experienced pain — but unsure of who you are outside of it all.

Recently, someone opened up to me about feeling exactly this. She’d been through a miscarriage. She’d got back with someone who hadn’t been there for her — someone who wanted an argument on the day she lost her baby. And even though she let him back in for a while, she saw it for what it was and walked away.

And I just want to say this — that kind of strength is incredible.
So many women would’ve stayed. So many would’ve gone back without even questioning it, just to avoid being alone. But she didn’t.
She saw the truth through the pain, even through the vulnerability, and she made a choice to put herself first.

That takes courage. And if you’ve ever done the same — if you’ve walked away from something that made you feel small or unloved — even after letting it back in… you should be so proud of yourself too.

And then comes the hard part — the quiet after the chaos.
The moments where you sit with yourself and realise you don’t even know what brings you joy anymore.
You’re not alone in that. I’ve been there too. I still have days where I feel a bit lost. I’m a mum as well, and when you’re constantly doing everything for everyone else, it’s so easy to lose sight of who you are.

What’s helped me — and what I want to share here in case it helps you too — is just starting with the small things. Music. A coffee. Sitting in silence with a notebook. Giving yourself even five minutes to breathe and ask, What do I actually want for my life?
That’s what led me here.

I didn’t plan to have a spiritual business. I didn’t plan to create a group. I just followed what felt good. I got quiet, cleared my head, and slowly things started unfolding. The more I let go of trying to fix or force things, the more opportunities just came. Naturally. With ease.

Maybe that’s the season you’re in — the space between what was and what’s next.
And maybe that space isn’t empty. Maybe it’s full of little sparks waiting for your attention.

Journaling helped me reconnect with those sparks. Gratitude prompts. Future-vision questions like:
What would make me feel more like me again?
What kind of life would I love to wake up to?

You don’t have to fix everything all at once.
Just start bringing in more of what makes you feel good. More of what brings peace.
That’s how it begins. That’s how you find yourself again.

You deserve that peace. You deserve to feel lit up by life.
And it’s okay if you’re still figuring out what that looks like.

You’re not behind. You’re becoming.
